Litttle Brothers, Sisters of America Learn Big Lessons about Money
To encourage Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) volunteers to introduce their Little Brothers and Little Sisters to the world of money, NEFE and BBBSA produced a 40-page booklet, Money Magic.
This booklet provides volunteers with ideas, activities, and tools to help their Little Brother or Sister—and even the volunteer, as well—become more financially savvy. Topics in the booklet run the gamut from knowing the difference between self-worth and net worth to money-earning tips and goal-oriented saving strategies. Read Full Article
Boy Scouts Can Earn Personal Finance Merit Badge with Help from NEFE
In partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) revised, updated, and printed a 64-page Personal Management Merit Badge booklet.
The material covers the concepts of goal setting and money management from a Scout’s perspective and helps prepare Scouts for financial challenges and opportunities. Chapters cover such topics as being a smart shopper, budgeting, using bank accounts, borrowing money, and saving versus investing.
