2011 Salon: Diminished Capacity and Its Implications for Our Aging Population

The Diminished Capacity Salon held in Washington, DC, brought together 30 thought leaders from the academic, government, and nonprofit sectors to discuss the current state of research on the impact of cognitive decline on financial decision making. Since this is an emerging area of research, with significant implications for millions of individuals and families, we wanted to better understand how best to approach the subject as thought leader, resource provider and grant maker. The presentations and discussions centered around themes of choice, cognitive and life intelligence and planning.
