NEFE hosted the Financial Education Funders Forum on September 27, 2017 in Washington, DC. The forum brought together financial education and financial capability research funders to focus on research priorities for the next several years. Facilitated discussion was designed to help attendees share ideas and prevent key funders from duplicating efforts. The event highlighted several topics of interest, including: the use of technology in facilitating learning; improving effectiveness and impact in financial education practice and evaluation; a strong focus on gender and an interest to build best practices and close gaps; workplace financial education; and how financial education and financial literacy can help offset a growing trend of income volatility.
