Brandon Bishop

Senior Manager, Policy and Advocacy

Brandon Bishop, senior manager of Policy and Advocacy, supports NEFE’s advocacy efforts with a primary focus on K-12. Brandon disseminates research about implementation and best practices to policy leaders and advocates to ensure all students have access to high-quality financial education.

Prior to joining NEFE, Brandon worked as the advocacy and strategy manager at Warren Village, a Colorado nonprofit serving unhoused and unstably housed low-income single-parent families in the Denver area, where he advocated for early childhood education and family-focused policies. He also worked in nationwide education policy at the Education Commission of the States and the State Higher Education Executive Officer's Association. These roles gave Brandon great experience in the P-20 education pipeline, enabling him to work with amazing education leaders across the country. Brandon earned his master’s degree in higher education at the University of Denver and his bachelor’s degree in political science at Arizona State University. Outside of the workplace, he loves cooking and experiencing the Denver food scene. Brandon writes about food and other cultural topics related to Denver and can usually be found at one of Denver’s parks with his dog, Dulce.
