Senior Manager, Accounting
Michelle Killpack, CPA®, senior manager of Accounting, executes day-to-day accounting and finance operations for NEFE, playing a central role in tax preparation, internal controls and financial management activities. She prepares a variety of financial reports including documentation for the annual audit, taxes and budget creation, ensuring compliance with private operating foundation rules.
Michelle has been in the accounting profession for 12 years, starting as an auditor in public accounting for a variety of industries. Prior to joining NEFE, she had her own firm where she began working with small, local nonprofits and found that she loves supporting mission-driven organizations who have a passion for their work. Michelle is a first-generation college student who received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Colorado Boulder and her master’s degree in accounting from Stetson University. She is a certified public accountant in Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her two sons.
